Dr. Kahlid Mankal, B.Sc., D.C.
For many years, Dr. Mankal has made it his mission to empower others to live healthier lives through wellness chiropractic.
“It’s a lifestyle. It’s a way of life that not only allows you to get well, but to stay well for life!”
Good health was not always a part of his reality though.
No Stranger to Sickness
“I grew up a very sick kid. I had constant ear and tonsil problems, and I also developed crushing headaches after being involved in a couple of car accidents.”
When he was in his late teens, Dr. Mankal took it upon himself to consult with a chiropractor, and was amazed when his health made a complete turnaround after beginning a program of care. This is when he realized that he wanted to pay it forward and give life back to people the way his was given back to him. Thus his passion and profession for chiropractic was born.
Paying It Forward
Dr. Mankal began his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario and the University of Waterloo in Kinesiology. In 1992, he received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Chiropractic degrees from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
In 2000, Dr. Mankal and his wife moved to the peaceful community of Barrhaven so that his children would grow up in a family-oriented environment. He opened Barrhaven Family Chiropractic & Wellness Centre and has been working with families all across Ottawa and outer regions.
Life Outside the Office
Dr. Mankal is the father of three children and he spends his spare time as a hockey coach for his son’s team. He is very involved in fitness and is a sponsor of the Capital City Condors. Dr. Mankal has also contributed to many local charities such as Children’s Wish, Ottawa Women’s Shelter, Ottawa Humane Society, Ottawa Food Bank, Roger’s House, Barrhaven Food Cupboard, and the Canadian Tire Jumpstart.
Dr. Mankal is grateful to be able to help his practice members achieve their goals through wellness chiropractic.
